Want to scream

My little son Lucas, 7 is sick and he's in the hospital, he as the Crohn's disease, stupid disease, my little angel is so sweet, this disease isn't curable, we can help him but it's long and pretty bad for him, i want to be angry with the whole world.
He had a andoscopie and colonoscopy today, poor lovely honey of my heart, our family is so broken by this situation, we hope that he can return to home before tomorrow night.
So, we're feeling vulnerable and miserable.

Do you know this disease and can you send to you some hope, thanks by advance.

**hugs** I'm so sorry!

My former boss's wife has Crohns, so she has food restrictions and I'm pretty sure she takes meds. She's ok, though! There are a lot of things she can eat and it does go into remission.

I hope Lucas is feeling better soon and home for the new year!

Darling, I know it's been a while but this situation totally calls for hugs, so : *hugs you tigh*
I hope you all will be alright. I've heard of this disease because a lj-friend of mine: her husband has the disease too. They've been having troubles during the last months and she's been through long and tiring weeks when his husband was at the hospital. She was a bit desperate on the end that their troubles never seemed to end and finally he went back home right for Christmas and he's okay again.

Don't lose hope my dear. This lj-friend and I aren't really close, but maybe if you'd like, if you need some infos or someone to talk to about the disease, who knows what she's talking about, I might try to ask her if she'd like to talk with you?

* huggles again *
Love to all your little family.

I feel for u a friend of mine died about two years ago leaving a 6 and an 8 year old. Their dad is trash and is still not helping the grandmother out with the kids, last I heard.

I will say prayers for your kid.

I truly wish there was something comforting I could say! I read up on the disease after you mentioned it the other day and felt so sad that your little boy is having to go through that...and you with him. I hope he goes into remission for a VERY LONG TIME...and I hope they do find a cure for this disease! {{{HUGS tightly}}}

I just lost a very good friend (not to the Crohns I hasten to add... to a drunk driver). She developed the illness at about 5 and, apart from a couple of hospital admissions, managed very well with diet, meds and exercise. She left two beautiful sons - both of whom recently completed degrees - and a grand-daughter; none of whom have the illness. With your help and his own strength and determination, your little angel has everything he needs to control and master it.

I rarely post, but something prompted me to write today (Dawn was always pushy like that :-) ). Don't ever lose the hope, somethimes its all any of us have.

Hello. I am very sorry to hear about your son, Lucas, with his medical situation.
I have had Crohn's Disease now for 15 years. Two major surgeries later and I am now in remission.
If there is anything you would like to talk about concerning this disease or if you just need to get some input from someone who knows this disease well, please contact me. I have added you, I hope you don't mind. Please add me back if you like.
Take care and hope to hear from you soon!

I have CD too - after I was diagnosed (and put on medication) I haven't really had many problems. The worst part was being sick and in pain and no-one knowing what was wrong or how to treat it. There are really good meds these days and I think that he will be fine. Most people only have a few flair ups in their lives.

*hugs* sorry to hear your son has it.
